Stayed here for three nights and really can't fault the place in any way. The room was incredibly spacious and lovely and the bed comfy. The location was perfect for me and it was really convenient to take the tram from the airport as the York Place tram stop is just a minute away.Helga, Reykjavik, Iceland

Second visit to this lovely hotel. Arrived early hoping just to leave our bags, advised not only was our room ready but we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a master suite, what a great surprise! room was fabulous very good size with excellent bathroom. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Will need to visit again to try the restaurants as both times we have stayed we have had alternate dinner plans. Excellent choice of accommodation! All the staff were welcoming, helpful, and extremely pleasant. The room was as expected but with little extras. The housekeeping was excellent, very clean - i have no faults. The location was ideal for us with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, but not far away from the tourist area. There is a bar and two steak restaurants next door although we only had a drink in the bar before going out for dinner. I wished we were able to stay a few days longer! Verity W, Stockholm, Sweden

The service we received from staff was outstanding in helping us visit the wonderful City of Edinburgh. Great recommendations for restaurants, shopping and tourist sites. Our hotel room was very clean, spacious, quiet and with a nice view of the city. Hotel did not have an elevator, so we had to walk up three flights of stairs. Staff carried our luggage upon arrival and departure so this was not a great inconvenience. The location was about 10 minutes away from train station and walking distance to restaurants, shopping, tour buses, Royal Mile, New Town and Old Town. Staff was extremely helpful in obtain Boarding passes for Heathrow Air Flights and Train Tickets to London. We would definitely return on a future visit. We also thought the value received for this hotel was very good as we had shopped around very carefully. We ate at Steak on Stones, the hotel restaurant. The ambiance, service and meal were all excellent. The manager and staff were excellent and spent whatever time required to meet all of our needs. Russell B, Toronto, Canada
